Import edited IOS photos to Photos for Mac

Hi,

if I import edited pictures (by photos for IOS) from my Iphone to my Mac photos app it shows the original and the edited picture too. It is very annoying it wasnt like this before IOS 11. Photos for Mac app showed only the edited version of the picture. So now I need not to delete the original photo after importing it. If I keep it on my Mac it takes more spaces on it, if I dont it will be shown every time if I will iport new pictures. In IOS I see only one, edited verison of the picture...
Import pictures from Iphone to Mac worked very good before IOS 11, but now it is very frustrating. Has anyone the same problem? Can someone give me tips to solve it?
