I updated versions ! Photos and notes are lost from my iPhone

If all you did was update your iPhone then your data should still be intact. However, if you updated your iPhone by setting it up as a new device then yes, they are gone unless they aware synced to an iCloud account or another cloud based service. If so, all you have to do is configure the service on your iPhone and then wait for your data to sync to it.
