Broken home button ribbon

I replaced the screen on iPhone se and broke the ribbon. I have a spare iPhone 6 home button can I use it on the SE. I don't really care if the finger print thing doesn't work thanks

I would think not. But I really don't know. Hopefully someone who knows will come along.

Switching home buttons works, but causes Touch ID to stop working. I would suggest taking the device to an Apple Store and having them install a new one, which would also reinstate Touch ID functionality.
