Is it possible to 'complete' a reminder directly from the lockscreen?

I use the Reminders app all the time to remind me of different things I need to do throughout the week.
I love that the app will post a simple reminder to the lockscreen; however, I haven't been able to figure out if it is possible to clear that task from the lockscreen. I get that you can swipe left and hit 'clear' and it will disappear from the lockscreen, but it doesn't complete it in the app. I still have to unlock my phone, open the Reminders app and then mark the task as complete. Am I missing something?

Don't touch the message, open phone, pull down notification center, press message. You might be able to press message on the lock screen. I don't have lock screen on for Reminders.
You could also swipe right on the lock screen and do it on the Reminders widget.
