Apple Watch response at limit of iPhone reach

I

iMore Question

Is there a grey area where the watch can *just* about reach the phone by Bluetooth when the phone is too far away and this makes the watch slow to respond with things like Siri, HomeKit etc. When my phone is upstairs my watch seems to try really hard to reach it to process my commands rather than click over onto my home WiFi or Cellular. Is there any way to fix this? It’s annoying when I do a Siri request and it says “I’ll tap you when I’m ready” Sometimes it doesn’t manage it, other times it’s just slow. Why doesn’t it just give up and use my home WiFi? Hope that makes sense. This only happens when my phone is far away. Thanks T

I'm sure there is a point in which the Apple Watch will struggle to maintain a bluetooth connection with the iPhone is you stray too far away from it, and yes, it could cause a delayed response if it depends on the iPhone for feedback, in my opinion.
