    if someone deleted their texts could i restore them, can you also tell if someone has hacked your fb messenger texts so it looks like you have written them ?

    If you're using iCloud backup and the texts in question were backed up, then yes they can be restored. If the messages were deleted and then another backup occurred, then you cannot restore the deleted messages because the latest backup overwrote the previous backup.

    I am hoping that one day Apple will allow a selective backup and selective restore option. I have to restore everything when all I really want are the texts restored.
