Hi, I have an old inactive e-mail address for my iPhone 6 plus and have also forgotten my password, please help

How do I add a new gmail address and also add a completely new password.

I cant even sign into the app store or even icloud.

I am at the situation where I'm being asked to upgrade my WhatsApp to the latest version and cant even do that, due to this situation,

When you set up your account you should of also set up a rescue email. This email address is not the same as the one you use for your Apple ID.

If you cannot use your rescue email to reset your Apple ID password, you cannot gain access to your account.

If you cannot gain access to your account you will need to visit your local Apple Store; bring your drivers license or state ID along with your purchase receipt as it has your name, the phones serial number, IMEI, and MEID on it. The name on the ID must match the name on the purchase receipt.... this proves that the phone belongs to you. They cannot help you without those things.
