Does the iPad screen scratch easily?

I had my iPad face down on a table and it managed to scratch pretty easily. It's not visible under normal use but it can be seen pretty well if you can concentrate enough on the scratch.

Do iPad screens scratch easily and what type of Gorilla Glass does the 2017 iPad use?

It does not scratch easily ‘in my experience’, but I have a Smart Keyboard that doubles as a cover for the display. As for what type of glass it’s made of, I don’t know.

I rarely scratch my iPad screen.
As long as you don’t drag it while it’s face down, it’ll be fine.
