Any suggestions on how to fix this or revert back?

    Welcome to iMore!

I believe you can revert back with a USB-C cable and iTunes. Plug it in and Restore like you do your phone. Hopefully someone can confirm.

I have read that the new tvOS does not work with DirecTV NOW which is a bummer... but it'll eventually be fixed.

I would follow the above advise to revert back to the current OS. I have a 4th gen and I recently logged into Directv Now with no issues. Hope you're able to get your issues fixed.

It's the new Beta that won't allow it... so don't get on the public beta if you're a DTV Now subscriber.
