iPad 3 Wi-Fi 16GB
Third generation of iPad with Wi-Fi.
Model Number A1416.

I need help with my ipad. It's not working. Not sure if it's the battery or the logic board.

Apple logo will not come up even when connected to the charger.

The ipad was not used for weeks and maybe the battery drained and now that we try to charge it and connect to its charger, it does not show that it's charging nor show the apple logo.

Welcome to iMore! It could very well be the battery given the age of your 3rd gen iPad. Apple's iPad batteries are designed to retain 80% of their original capacity for 1,000 full charge cycles. After that you're on borrowed time.

I suggest taking your iPad into an Apple Store or authorized service center. At this point in time it may be worth thinking about getting a new iPad.

I have an iPad 3rd gen also. Can the battery be changed in this device? I also have a 10.5 inch which is what I chiefly use, however the iPad 3 has an app on it that is no longer available in the App Store for use with a photo device that I have at home. I need that app. Can the battery be replaced?
