How do I turn off double sided printing on a Mac?

Please help, I think of myself as a relatively tech savvy guy good at problem solving. But the one thing killing me is how to turn off the default double sided printing option? I end up wasting more paper than saving it.

Im using a HP Officejet Pro 6830 AirPrint with the latest MacOS Sierra 10.12.5

Double sided printing should be off by default. It would be in the printer settings I would imagine. OOPS Forget what I just said, it appears the default on a Mac is for it to be ON, found a Q&A here that explains how to change the default settings....

thank you!! wow thats so much more complicated than it needs to be. My original concern with that was giving up my admin username and password, until I saw its developed by Apple. Guess its that time of years to change my admin password for piece of mind.
