Iphone 5S First time setup.

Hello everyone.
I just got a new Iphone 5s.
But the phone is locked to (Tracfone) USA, and im outside of the US, I need to set up the phone to get to the home screen and I wont even be needing a sim card in the phone anymore, so if i use a tracfone sim outside of the US which will cause no signal, would it work? Or if there is any better ways to do it id appreciate the help.

If the device is not protected by the iCloud Activation Lock, any active SIM card should allow the device to be "activated". As for the Tracfone questions, you should contact Tracfone Support, in my opinion. Anyway, I hope members who use a Tracfone brand iPhone will reply soon.
