I've been searching all over the forums for an odd issue with my mom's iPhone 5c. She's having some issues with call volume, that I originally thought was an ear speaker issue, but I'm now not sure about.

Whenever she makes a call, the volume is very very low, to the point where often you can't even hear it (the recipient of the call can hear her fine). When she turns the call to speakerphone or over the bluetooth in her car ... perfect call quality! However, when she checks voicemail and doesn't use speakerphone, there she CAN her perfectly fine through the ear speaker.

The fact she can hear the voicemail "call volume" just fine makes me curious if the issue is with the speaker or not.

Anyone heard of this?

The first suggestion/idea I can think of is next time she's on a call is be sure the volume is up. While in call, press the volume up and see that the volume is indeed turned up.
