How can I get sound notifications on my iPhone while I have Apple Watch connected?

I have an Apple Watch connected to my new iPhone 7 Plus. I noticed that if I am wearing the watch that I only receive visual and sound notifications on the watch. I want to receive sound and visual notifications on both devices at all times.

If you turn off Wrist Detection (on your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection), then all notification alerts will be delivered to both devices.
