no sound and already replaced your phone and you know the fault is in your back up?

1. People cannot hear me when I answer the phone, i need to put the phone on speaker then take it off to make it work
2. When I play a song i hear nothing unless i unplug my headset and plug it back in
3. Whatsapp audio does not work
4. Facetime only works without headset
5. I have reset all settings and apple has given me a brand new phone but the problem still persists so their must be a fault in the software/backup somewhere.

Has anybody had a similar problem and how did you fix it? Am I best off to start from scratch?

Sounds like a corrupted back up. Try restoring as new. Not from a back up. And do the restore with iTunes on computer if possible. Put a fresh copy of iOS on. When I first got my 6s Plus, I set it up with the back up from my old iPhone 5. There were problems. I restored as new, then it was great.
