    I have to buy one or the other and the iPad pro is tempting me but will I miss my laptop?

    Maybe. What is your primary purpose for either? I bought a 9.7" iPad Pro as a replacement for my MacBook, and although I meets most of my computing needs, it doesn't meet them all. In fact, if I had to do it all over again, I would opt for the MacBook Air or MBP. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy my iPad Pro and use it often, but now that I have it, I realize another MacBook would have been a better fit for "me".
