How do I create a new apple account on my iPhone. I have an existing but need a new one.

My son told me I needed to set up a new apple account in order to add me to their family sharing. I have an existing account already. I don't want to lose any information, i.e. Contacts etc. I have already on my iPhone. Why do I need a new account to be added to their family sharing? It was on at one time but there was an issue and I was deleted from their sharing. I lost all my phone contacts and all my calendar events on my iPad. I'm not getting family sharing on my iPhone either but that's all it affected.

Once removed from a family share you can not be readded for 90 days. That might be why they want you to create a new Apple ID.

To create a new ID from your iPhone go to settings > iCloud > then make sure you are signed out. Then you will see the option to create a new Apple ID from there.

However, I would ask the family organizer why they want you to create a new Apple ID.

And remember, you only get 3 iCloud accounts per device. I wouldn't do it.
