Removing the SIM card will remove your service and still let you use your phone when on wifi.

Matter of interest, what country and provider?

It will remove the service from your phone. But you still have a service plan with your provider. Your provider would not know you removed the SIM card. It does not send them any messages.

I think It will not, mate. By the way, I recently updated my internet and television. I already wanted to do this for a long time, but there was no time, and finally took a day off from work and decided to find a good company with fast internet and a good TV. And I decided to google it and came across fiber telecommunications . And I realized that I was lucky, because I called there, I was surprised how quickly and efficiently they work. In just a few days I had fast internet and television. In short, I was very lucky, I was looking for what I wanted

As other said, it will not affect the provider.
They will just have a few lines showing as inactive on their grid.
To make yourself heard, hundreds thousands of people have to cancel their service at the same time, only then they will feel it in their pocket, and only if there is no cancellation fee or other penalties isn’t involved in the contract.

And it certainly will not when it's over THREE YEARS since the OP created this thread.
