iTunes won't sync with my iPhone when I upload CDs

After I've copied songs from my CDs into my iTunes account, I can see them in my iTunes library, but the songs won't sync to my iPhone 5, regardless of whether or not I'm connected via hard wired or wireless. I have no syncing issues when I purchase songs from the iTunes Store. My PC is running Windows 7. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

I don't know. What will happen if you create a playlist containing those songs? Will the songs then sync?
