Does anyone know how to disable the IR remote input on an apple TV 4?

I have a gen 3 apple TV and a Gen 4 Apple TV in the same room. I'd like to prevent the gen 4 Apple TV from responding to the IR remote for the gen 3 Apple TV. So far I have taught the gen 4 Apple TV the commands of a generic remote however it continues to respond the the old apple remote as well.

Welcome to iMore! Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to disable IR input from any AppleTV remote.

Rob is correct in that the remotes can not be disabled.
