Why do my new powerbeats 3 headphones stop working when i am outside.

I live in Canada and i walk to work, I just got powerbeats 3 and i love them...but they keep shutting off in cold weather(-6 celcius or colder). Is this normal? I like them but if i cannot wear them in this climate i may have to return them. Do they have a temperature limit?

If I were you I would try these before returning them to confirm if the issue is related to cold temperatures or not
