How do I access my Iphone calendar on my Mac laptop that I sinked with my Mac laptop

My Ipad, Iphone and Mac laptop are regularly sinked together. I mostly enter events only on my phone, so do not know how to access the laptop calendar. Somehow, I lost the past 18mo on my Iphone and can only retrieve data from Dec 13, 2016 to today. Those prior events should be on my laptop should they not? How do I find them?

On your iPhone, go to Settings → Calendar → Sync, and then change the sync timeframe.
