series 2 watch appears to have died at only second charge, is there anything i can do?

Series 2 watch that I bought my wife for xmas, had only been worn once, when charged for the second time it died. No matter what you press it remains blank.

Have you tried a force start? Press and hold both button for at least 10 seconds until you see he Apple logo.

Was it working when it was on the charger?

If the force start doesn't work and it's charged up, take it to the Apple Store. It's still under warranty and they'll take care of you.
