    Please excuse my ignorance on this.I keep hearing and reading about how android is more customizable than Iphone. What does this mean?

    Android allows apps more permissions than iOS does, allowing for the user to do more in terms of customization. If you don't like how the notification bar looks, you can change it. You can even add a widget in the middle of your home screen, or add other features that take advantage of the hardware.

    You can change the UI (user interface) more freely than on an iPhone.
