waiting for activation message appearing for facetime in iphone 7

I am unable to u use facetime in iphone 7 as it appears waiting for activation

FaceTime and iMessage activated almost instantly on my first iPhone but stalled on the iPad.

But one fresh install facetime took ages. I restarted the phone and tried again and it worked straight off second time around
