How to tell if email is phishing or legit?

Received an email from Apple saying I requested a refund on my gift card I purchased. I did not request a refund. Is this phishing. How can we resolve this? Help!!!

Couple of ways to tell. If you are confident that you did no such thing then it is clearly a phishing email. Do not respond to the email directly. Another way to tell is by contacting Apple directly through their website if it concerns you. But in my opinion it is clearly a scam email trying to get your information.
