Do u have to delete entire texts with a person?

Do you have to delete all conversations in a text message with a person or is it possible to delete only a portion?

Hold down the part of the message you want to delete. When you do that Copy/More options will appear. Click More and put a check mark next to the text that you want to delete, then click on the trash can in the lower left hand corner.
