Can I do on the Safari browser the same tasks on the iPad Pro that I can do on the MacBook?

Like, I access my bank account with my MacBook, but did try to access it with an iPad and it directed me to the bank app.

Welcome to iMore! You should be able to use Safari for iPad provided the web sites you're visiting don't require flash. I'm surprising your bank is forcing you to the app rather than letting you access their site directly.
