i cant get my iCloud to backup to my iPhone 7

I backed my old iPhone up on iCloud, and i tried to restore it on my new iPhone, but it gives the message no recent backup

Make sure you are attempting to restore using the same apple id used to perform the backup, and make sure your new device is connected to wifi when trying the restoration.
