Where does Snapchat save "Memories?" On my phone? On a server? Both? Can I back them up to my lapto?

My pone ran out of memory and when I looked at how much space was used by each app, it showed Snapchat using 37MB and data at 375MB. I assumed memories were saved on a server or something, but now I'm wondering if it's saved on my phone like my regular photos. Also wanted to know how if possible to back up my Memories to my laptop, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's on server side. When i log into Snapchat on my different devices they all appear.
