Call one phone and it rings on another?

I just purchased a new I phone 7. When I call my phone number it rings on my phone and my wife's I phone 6? I believe it has something to do with I cloud?

any suggestions?

On your wife's iPhone go to Settings > FaceTime and disable Continuity.

It rings simultaneously on those devices which has same icloud email.

Don't use the same Apple ID for both phones.
