I used to set up appointments on my iPhone and invite others using their gmail account and they will receive an email to put on their calendar. Lately, it hasn't been sending the email, so the event I created wasn't even seen by the invitee. Help!

I don't know what to tell you. I mean, I just sent a calendar invite from my ICloud calendar via my iPhone to my gmail address and within a second or two, I received the email invite. Having said that, try rebooting the device, resetting the network settings or reconfiguring the calendar account on the device.

My invites don't go to email anymore. They show in the Calendar inbox of the person receiving the invite. But you'd probably both need to be on iCloud or Gmail.
