Please - please help me kill the hypersensitivity on my magic mouse!

I am an art director / design er for a non-profit. I just "upgraded" to macOS Sierra. My mouse is now so hypersensitive that if I touch it, I find myself dashing every which way. drawing, composing, building my magazine, etc... have become so frustrating!I turned off every option in the system prefs and the thing is still hyper. Please - please help!
