The 'share icon' on my macbook isn't working.

I I click on the share icon, elect on option, such as 'twitter' or 'Facebook' or 'notes' and then nothing happens. The various options (including share icon) grey out an it kind of freezes i.e. if Im sharing from finder or preview or safari it freezes and I have to close down. Any ideas?

Defiantly sounds like a software issue. Is everything up to date and enabled? Safari, Silverlight, flash, and various plugins/permissions? You could also try downloading chrome or firefox and see if that fixes the issue. Hope it works out for you!
