    If you are in the car without wifi and you turn on some music in the car is that taking data

    If those songs are not saved for offline listening (the ones with a cloud next to it are not saved for offline listening) that takes data.

    But if you go to Settings > Music > Cellular Data you can specify what uses data and what not.
