So I am one of those guys that updates their phone as soon and an OTA update is available and so when 10.1.1 launched I was in there. I try to connect my iPhone 7 Plus to my mac once in a while to back it up on there (apart from my daily iCloud backup) and when I connected it yesterday it said about update 10.1.1 is available for download. I had to go back and check which download I last did OTA and it indeed was 10.1.1. Is there any reason why my iTunes might be asking to download 10.1.1 again even though I already have it on my phone?

It is a new 10.1.1 with a newer build number. Probably solving minor issues that don't warrant a new version number. Build 14b100 is old and 14b150 is the newer one. It's only available if you plug your phone into iTunes.
