iPad 2 IOS 10.1.1

My ipad2 was scheduled to download 10.1.1 last night but has defaulted to the restore screen. I've been on itunes and tried both update and restore but it says that there is a error 39 downloading the software?

Hello and welcome to iMore! If I am reading you post correctly, you have an iPad 2 (which is what I have). Unfortunately, the iPad 2 does not support iOS 10.
