i phone 6s does not ring 90% of time but goes straight to voicemail

After recent download my Iphone 6s goes to voice mail instead of ringing. If I turn it off and then restart it it will work and ring for about 1 or 2 calls, then back to voice mail.
help!

Check the following:

1. Mute Switch
2. Do Not Disturb
3. Notifications settings
4. Bluetooth connectivity

You can also try resetting all settings.
