Why does facebook keep disconnecting me from my internet connection?

A number of times during the day facebook knocks me off my internet connection. Have to connect with wifi and then back to my secured connection. Anyone have a solution to this time consuming problem?

Could there be a built-in mechanism that logs you off or disconnects when it doesn't detect activity after a period of time? Also, how are you accessing Facebook? Via a computer's web browser? A computer app? A smart device?
