No, your battery is not dying. Red/orange appears when you're between 0% and 20% of charge.

If it is yellow/orange, that means you have enabled Low Power Mode, to reduce power consumption.
You can disable this under Settings > Battery

Also, low power mode will disable itself once your battery level reaches 80%.
