When trying to change my Apple ID I put in my other email address and it says it is not available.

Trying to change my Apple ID. I sign in and go to edit email address but when I put the email address I want to change to it says email address is not available.

Did you go here and https://appleid.apple.com/#!&page=signin and change the email address there?
