I have an iPhone 7 running IOS 10.1 from Verizon. I have the nfl mobile app installed and notifications turned on in the application itself and in the notifications section for IOS. Two things seem odd:
1. The app seems to have to be open in the background to get a notification. If the app is totally shut down I dont get it. Yes background app refresh is turned on also.
2. When I get a notification, I do not get a sound. I have verified the setting is turned on in IOS notifications, and there is no setting in the app for a sound.
Does anyone else have these issues? As an example I have the same settings for ESPN's Fantasy app, and i get notifications with sound all the time.
