How iPad mini keeps shutting down while using it

While playing apps my iPad keeps shutting down to the main page

If you're saying that you keep returning to the home screen, is it possible that either you're pressing the home button accidentally or the apps you're playing aren't fully compatible with the iOS version on the iPad Mini and thus keeps crashing?
