I have question reagarding .gif images on whatsapp. When I send .gif images to someone but it turns into pics it doesn't stay as .gif file. I tried different keyword but no one works

I have question reagarding .gif images on whatsapp. When I send .gif images to someone but it turns into pics it doesn't stay as .gif file. I tried different keyword but no one works
Seems to me like iOS or WhatsApp is not supporting gifs to be send as such.
