    I am doing a project for school to measure the influence of music on heart rate. I already have a chest strap with bluetooth smart (brand is medisana) and now I am looking for an app to measure heart beat over a period of time. It would be nice if the app saved the data but if I don't mind if that is not possible. I don't mind paying for the app. Does anyone know such an app?

    There are such apps in the App Store. Do a search there for 'heart rate'.
    I applaud your scientific quest. Will you, so far as you can, exclude other possible influences, such as by applying a blindfold while listening?
    Good luck with it and by all means let us know the findings.
