Which MacBook Pro to buy?

I'm a university student and my 2012 MacBook Pro is broken so I decided to buy a new one. But I'm really torn between the 15 and 13 inch. I've had the 13 inch and I would like to get the 15 inch but the price is just quite a bit. I don't mind spending that amount as long as I know I'll get my money's worth and provided it'll last about 4-6 years. So which should I get? I like to edit videos occasionally and i like taking photos. But it would be primarily used for school and my only computer. I'm also wondering, if I were to get the 13 inch could I upgrade the ram from 8-16 gb like the 15??

Is the primary reason you want the 15" model is because it has more RAM? If so, get the 13" model and upgrade the RAM.

Either one will last that long & probably longer. You can't go wrong.

Either machine will do a good job for you. If you are concerned about the price, go with the 13" and up the RAM. Save yourself some money. Both the 13 or 15 would offer you at least 4-6 years of solid use.
