I have an ipad air2 and it keeps shutting the wifi off, why and how do I make it stop?

I turn the setting for wifi to on and then go about my business talking on FaceTime with my friend and all of a sudden "reconnecting" except it doesn't so I go into my settings and the wifi is off. I turn it on and it reconnects, make the call again and "reconnecting" except it doesn't. Sometimes we can talk for a very long time without it happening and sometimes it happens every couple of minutes. Can anybody help?

Reboot your iPad by pressing & holding the home & power buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Also check your router to make sure your wifi connection is solid.
