How to delete the handwriting key on ,y keypad

after updating my iphone 6 the keypad now has an upside down cursive"e" next to a " return" button which has shortened my " space" bar. Apple says there is NO WAY to get rid of it!!! The upside down cursive " e" symbol is a scribbling feature where you can draw with your finger and then text it. can anyone help get rid of this as it has made my space bar smaller!!!
