Did iOS 10 Remove Context-Based Activity Notices?

In iOS 9, there was a great feature which placed an app icon (or app bar in multitasking) on the bottom of the home screen when you turned on a bluetooth speaker, got in the car, plugged in headphones, or arrived at a specific location. It was predictive, so when I turned on one BT speaker, it always prompted me to open Pandora, while when I plugged in headphones, it prompted to open Amazon Music.

Has this predictive feature been removed?

I haven't seen that feature in awhile. Not sure what happened to it. Maybe someone else will have some insight.
