What is the difference between the iPad Mini 4 & Air 2?

I'm looking for balance in cost (don't want to pay much) and service, will use it to do reports, essays, save fotos, read books, add app Microsoft, and to take everywhere will like to have a board as laptop computer

The Air 2 has better multitasking and a larger screen. The mini 4 is smaller and easier to carry around. It's really a matter of preference.
